Stakeholder Advisory Panel (StAP)

The StAP cannot and will not dismiss the outputs of the Regional Hubs; their role is instead to provide comment and input on the options being presented to them to feedback to the next Regional Hub round. In that way, although not involved in the detailed discussions around sites, they can influence decisions. The StAP will also have the final sign off on the recommendations. A great deal of time has gone into planning the potential makeup of our StAP, so even though its membership is smaller than the other regional projects, it will cover the same main stakeholder sectors.

The StAP is made up of a limited number of umbrella organisations, associations or key industry stakeholders who are well placed to comment on the outputs of the Regional Hubs. The StAP meetings are not facilitated, but chaired by Mr Trevor Jameson. The Stakeholder Advisory Panel maintains an overview of the work being undertaken in the Regional Hubs, checks for consistency and balance and brings all the recommendations from the Hubs together before passing them to the Science Advisory Panel for feedback.
